Your Assignment

Your assignment requires you to conduct research in order to explore one of the immigration "waves" you descend from. Based on your research, you will write a five-page paper using at least four sources. Your paper will explore:

  • the immigration wave/group
  • the conditions that caused them to leave their country of origin
  • the process of their journey to the United States
  • the conditions they faced upon arrival
  • the impact this immigration wave/group had/has on U.S. culture.
