What Faculty Need to Do Before Spring 2020

Update Information and Images in Your Courses

If you use screenshots of, or information about, the library website or the library catalog (books+) in your syllabi, assignments, other course material, and/or in Canvas, you will need to update this information for your Spring 2020 courses.

Update Links to Library Resources

If you use links to books or other resources from books+, including links to items on reserve in the library (i.e. links that include “worldcat” in them, like this one:, you will need to generate new links by finding those resources through OneSearch and selecting the permalink icon, as shown below:

What about direct links to library databases?

If you use links generated from within individual library databases, you do not need to make any changes to those links.

If you would like to share direct links to individual databases, or to articles, books, or other sources within Luria Library databases, follow the instructions below:

Update Links to Library Research Guides ("LibGuides")

If you use links to library research guides such as this one, you will need to update those links to reflect the change in the root URL from to before the old URLs stop working in mid February 2020. Just change that portion of your links.
